The Quiet Men

Monday, 23 February 2026 - Saturday, 14 March 2026
About this event
The Quiet Men takes audiences on a whistlestop tour though the life stories of two remarkable Dublin brothers, Barry FitzGerald and Arthur Shields who between them fought in the GPO in Easter Week and won an Oscar.
Known and beloved by movie lovers for their roles in John Ford’s The Quiet Man, Michealeen Óg (among many other great film roles) these two stalwarts of the Abbey Theatre Company went on to carve out lives in Hollywood. However, little is known about their private lives.
The Quiet Men delves into this hidden history.
